Before I got a dog, I imagined long walks around the neighborhood and happy greetings at the door. Unfortunately, after a few weeks of pet ownership, I learned that there was a little more to it than that. After dealing with some scratched hardwood and more than a few chewed-up shoes, I decided that I needed to really learn how to live with pets.
